A
wealth of outdoor activities is available to you while staying
in our home, many without ever getting into your car. If you are
looking to relax, the property includes a grassy bank along El
Rito Creek next to a swimming hole, an ideal place to sunbathe
and unwind. Hiking into the National Forest starts 100 yards from
the driveway or right out the door and up into the hills. Cross-country
skiing, trout fishing, biking, are all within walking distance.
Downhill ski resorts in Taos, Santa Fe, and Los Alamos are not
far, and the splendor of northern New Mexico is within easy reach.

A
great many interesting towns, villages, Indian pueblos, museums
and galleries, restaurants and local events lie within visiting
range while staying in our home. In El Rito you should consider
tasting the best chili verde in New Mexico at El Farolito restaurant
(the best and only restaurant in town), you should visit Martins
General Store, serving El Rito since the early 1900s, visit
the San Juan Nepomuceno church, completed in 1832, or visit
the El Rito Public Library.
